8th of September 
I smelt Lavender

across my mother’s kitchen 

And I have a brother
A blessing I will not overlook

I am overflowing with gratitude
From my head to my toe
A Lavender, I support

Because of its soothing nature 

because it takes away worries

And because it reminds me
that God is in control.

A Lavender, so purple

And beautiful.
A beauty within.

Let God’s will be done

on earth as it is in heaven.
